Hi All!

I'm looking into how our district applies money raised from fundraisers to group projects. For example, our senior class trip. My understanding is that all the money raised should go to pay the total cost of the trip and not to benefit any specific student, such as the ones who worked the fundraiser. I'm thinking if we are reducing a student's fees because they worked the fundraiser, then that would be taxable compensation. Can you tell me if you have looked into this at your district and if you have any information to share towards this issue.

Thanks!!

Nicole

Nicole Marshall, Treasurer/CFO
Fairborn City Schools
Phone:937-878-3961
Fax:937-879-8180
nmarshall@fairborn.k12.oh.us

*Confidentiality Notice:* This email message, including any attachments, is
for the sole use of the intended recipient(s) and may contain confidential
and privileged information.
