to pick up the mantle to protect Treasurers from being accountable for
things we have no control over. Right now, especially in my world, the Supt
has all the authority over employees ( I was directly told in this District,
that I have no authority over employees) and I am fine with that, but now I

doesn’t it? I don’t hire nor am I consulted on hiring, I
don’t fire, I cannot discipline, I cannot reassign, etc. I really
would like to know from the State Auditor’s point of view how it came
to be that sanctions name the Treasurer and NOT the Supt. Sounds to me
like BASA or other orgs that Supt belong to, had more of a voice than
OASBO.</span></div>

gang neighborhoods without guns or body armor. The Cops aren’t going
to do anything but drive through the neighborhood, at best. Most people when
facing the choice of keeping their job or stirring crap, are going to choose
keeping their job UNLESS they have protection. So unless that gets built in,
the policing is just token for appearance sake. Who knows, maybe that is all
legislators want; a good appearance. And maybe I’m an idiot for
thinking that most legislators really want to affect REAL checks and
