<p class="xmsonormal">OASBO just recently learned about the proposed changes to the preschool education rules, too. We joined with several other education groups to submit comments on the proposal before the public comment period closed yesterday.

<p class="xmsonormal">Even though the public comment period has closed, there is still time to weigh in. A committee of the state board will be considering the proposed rule changes at their meeting in March. If members wish to make comments, we urge you to

<p class="xmsonormal">I just learned about this two days ago and apparently the time for feedback closed yesterday. One of the changes appears that we will need to provide 300+ hours of "regular education" to students who qualify for an IEP, but attend a private
preschool. Currently, we might only provide itinerant services, but I'm wondering if this would mean the private preschool would now be able to charge us for the regular education piece. Also, it appears that it changes the ratio of special ed students from
8 per class to 6 per class beginning in 2020. These are just a couple of things that my preschool director brought to my attention. <o:p></o:p></p>
