[Mveca_usas] MVECA0 Outage Update

Additional outages:
I'm very sorry to report that we are seeing additional failures on key hardware that have caused MVECA0 to go down again.  We are therefore moving ahead with the hardware replacement that was scheduled for 7:00 p.m. as quickly as possible.  Please stand by for additional updates.

Update:
At this time everything has been restored and is operational.  You may proceed with processing.  Please note however that we will need to schedule additional downtime tonight at 7:00 p.m. in order to complete additional hardware replacement.  Please notify all users that MVECA0 will not be available from 7:00 p.m. tonight.  We expect that the hardware replacement should take no more than 2 hours, but would like to warn users in advance that unforeseen issues could cause extended downtime.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your patience.

Subject: MVECA0 Outage Update

Good morning,
Work has continued through the night to restore access to Classic USAS/USPS instances.  Although we do have the ability to route traffic to a redundant instance of MVECA0 at the disaster recovery site, we are asking all districts to delay processing for the time being so that once recovery is complete we will more quickly be able to revert back to the primary hardware and avoid the need for restorations of changed data.
Please bear with us as we continue to work on this.
In the event of an emergency that requires immediate access to read-only data, please give me a call directly at the number below.
