We have been receiving many questions regarding the validation to require a building level opu for the 2110, 2121, 2131, 2141, 2151, 2171, 2211, 2221, 2231, and 2490 function codes. This message is just to let you know that we are looking
into this validation again with ODE. Based on ODE’s webinar materials from last spring, it does not appear to me as if the intention at that time was to require the opu to be a building opu. This material seems to contradict their current validation specifications,
which indicate a building opu is required, and we are not sure at this point exactly what is expected for these functions. We are trying to get an answer as quickly as possible and if necessary will update our validations again in USAS as soon as possible.
