[Mveca_usps] Gen Issue 478

Good morning
It looks like almost everyone received a Gen-478  issues report.  For Payroll Staff,  your EMIS coordinators can get the file to you.

The report indicates that you are reporting a staff member with a C - Active continuing  status but you have a separation date that is in a previous year.
It could be that the separation did not get reported in the previous year and you are just reporting it now, or it could be that it was reported with a C status in the previous year and not marked NO to EMIS for this year.

Our  suggestion on this is to mark the staff on this list  N to EMIS and see who comes up missing.  Then create the CP or CL records in the FFE.  That way your payroll staff does not have to keep questioning when they can mark the staff member N to EMIS.

When creating a CP or CL record, ODE Is looking at YOUR last day of school to determine which record you should submit.
If the staff member left prior to the LAST  of day LAST year based on your student calendar, you will report a CP record.  If it is any time after YOUR last day of school based on your student calendar you will report a CL record.
Once these are cleared up it should help with not reporting separated staff as continuing employees.
