We received a FAQ document from Ohio Department of Taxation (see below)  and thought we should share it just in case you didn’t receive it.
There are some great answers to questions that I have been asked, but didn’t know the answer to.
I hope this helps as you remit and report to OH TAX eServices.

Employment Tax Filing FAQs

As Ohio's employer withholding and school district withholding filing season ends, we’re answering some common questions about OH|TAX eServices. Q: How do I pay my Ohio employer withholding in OH|TAX eServices?

A: Log in to OH|TAX eServices with your OH|ID username and password.

  *   To pay monthly or quarterly withholding taxes, go to the tax type panel on your dashboard and click File Now under the “IT 501: Employer’s Payment of Ohio Tax Withheld” section.
  *   To pay a withholding bill or assessment, go to the tax type panel and click Make a Payment under the “Account” section.

Q: I didn’t withhold Ohio taxes this period. Do I still need to file an IT 501 or SD 101?

A: No, you only need to file these forms if you have withholding to report. However, if you file an IT 501 or SD 101 at any time during the year, you must reconcile your withholdings at year-end by filing an IT 941 and/or SD 141.

Q: How can I submit W-2s to Ohio?

A: You have two options to submit W-2s:

  1.  Upload a file: Create a properly formatted .csv or .txt file, log in to OH|TAX eServices with your OH|ID, and go to the tax type panel. Click Upload Income Statement under the “Income Statement Upload” section.
  2.  Enter manually: Log in, go to the tax type panel, and click Enter Annual Wage Statements under the “Income Statement Upload” section.

Q: Can I zip my W-2 or 1099 file before uploading it?

A: No, files must be uploaded as unzipped .txt files and must not exceed 50 MB in size.

Q: How can I find my past filings and payments?

A: Log in to OH|TAX eServices, go to the tax type panel, and click View Returns and Period Balances under the “Account” section.

Q: Has the Originator ID for Ohio employer withholding or school district withholding debit blockers changed?

A: Yes. Refer to the chart below for the updated debit blocker information:
