[Tech-l] Educational Technology Aide

The Miami Valley Educational Computer Association located in Yellow Springs, Ohio has an immediate opening for an educational technology aide to work in the Clark County region.



Responsibilities include:



Providing teachers and students with technology support, assistance, and training.



Helping client organization maintain and repair workstations, printers, and

various network devices.



Troubleshooting workstations and network hardware and identifing parts

and supplies needed to repair problems encountered by the client

organization.



Installing and repairing network wiring.  Identifies network related

problems.  Ensures good network performance.



Installing, maintaining, and configuring workstation software.



Assisting with the ongoing support of various technology initiatives and

deployments.



Qualifications:



Associate's degree in computer science or equivalent experience and/or

technical aptitude that meets the needs of the client organization.



Meets all mandated health requirements.



Passes criminal background check.



Expertise in PC and MAC applications.  Ability to train adult learners with

diverse job responsibilities and computer application skills.



Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical

individuals.



Multitasking ability and strong communication/interpersonal skills.
