[Tech-l] Category 2 Erate for funding year 20 (fiscal year 21)

Good afternoon!
As you may already know, in their recent order the FCC has made permanent the eligibility of MIBS (managed wireless) and basic maintenance of internal connections.  They've also created a new five year budget cycle that will begin in funding year 2021 (fiscal year 22).  Additionally, they have extended the previous category 2 budget cycle into a sixth year.  What this means is that districts will have and additional budget amount of approximately $30.00 per pupil to expend in the funding year beginning July 1st, 2020 and an entirely new budget ($150 per pupil) beginning in funding year 2021.
Please know that if you're consuming managed wireless services, you will continue to be funded.  If you're interested in network upgrades or other eligible Category 2 services, there is money available in this cycle.
