Good Morning,
Due to very recent information received from our software developers, Frontline Education (formerly Software Answers), we would like to provide districts with the option of delaying migration to the SpecialServices (SpS) Redesign. According to communications distributed in the last few days from Frontline, SpS Classic and Redesign may be replaced after the 20/21 school year by a new Special Education platform called Accelify (https://www.accelify.com/products/). This application promises to be more robust and user friendly and will include additional features that districts will find valuable. SpS Classic and SpS Redesign are expected to remain available and fully supported throughout the 20/21 school year.
It is up to your district if you would like to move forward with migrating over to the SpS Redesign or stay with the Classic SpS until we have more information.
As we learn more about this change in Frontline's development roadmap, additional communication will be sent to all districts. However, it is important that we provide the information we have now so that you can decide how you would like to proceed, if at all, with the migration to the SpS Redesign.
Please let us know if your district would like to delay scheduled migrations until more information is available. You can do this by emailing progressbook at mveca.org<mailto:progressbook at mveca.org> to indicate if you'd like to either move forward or delay migration. You may also send us your questions and we'll do our best to get you answers as quickly as possible.
We greatly appreciate all the hard work your district has put forth in preparation for a migration and wish to extend our apologies for this unexpected turn of events. We have emphatically expressed our frustration with this change in direction to Frontline . It is our goal to minimize any additional inconvenience to our schools while we seek more information.
Thank you,
Thor
