Please forward to your student data stakeholders.

Good morning!
We have been notified by Frontline that with the release of version 25.0.0, due out in June, all data entry fields for Social Security Numbers (SSNs) for all students and staff will be removed from the StudentInformation application. While we do believe this is likely a good idea from a data privacy and protection standpoint, we also know that this could have an adverse effect on your creation of student transcripts and other operations in your district. If you believe that removing SSNs from the SIS will have a significant impact on your district, we would like to know about this and introduce workarounds as needed. As of right now, there are 14 school entities still utilizing the SSN fields.
If you'd like to speak to us regarding SSNs in StudentInformation and associated reporting and transcript creation, please contact us by sending email to helpstudent at mveca.org<mailto:helpstudent at mveca.org>.
Thank you,
Thor
