[DistrictEmisCoordinators] Extended School Year Services

Hi All!

ODE started the check on the Extended School Year Services.  When the field was put in DASL it was defaulted to *.  The check will run on any xIEP entered in for this year and it needs to be a N or Y.  ISPs and other event types would be * Then Program codes need to be reported .

211010 Extended School Year Services Provided The student qualified for ESY services; services will be provided.

211015 Extended School Year Services Not Provided, Parent Refusal The student qualified for ESY services; services will not be provided due to parent refusal.

211020 Extended School Year Services Not Provided, Other than Parent Refusal The student qualified for ESY services; services will not be provided due to a reason other


It will be warning for this year and will be a fatal next year.

If you want to update the ones with the warnings you can.  From this point on I would recommend that you report the ESY for all the IEPs that you enter.

My understanding is that Same Goal has a report that can be run to pull students with ESY services.  You can also print the warnings for the DC to get a list of the students missing the ESY.
