This new search tool replaces the Certification and Licensure Search that was previously found on the EMIS section of the Department’s website. As with the prior search, the new tool is meant to assist districts in two important ways: validating data that appear on the Teacher Licensure Course (TLC) Status Report generated by EMIS and implementing the requirements that PreK-12 educators are assigned to classes they are validly credentialed to teach.
Note that this is the same data and the same licensure rules that were found in the previous tool. The new tool is simply a more user-friendly way for districts to access the information.
