Reading Diagnostics Reminder
This is a reminder that districts should be reviewing their Derive Reading Diagnostic Result (LTRC-001) Level 2 Report in EMIS for detailed information about reading diagnostics, including SSID-level data. Note that districts using the i-Ready for their Reading Diagnostic and seeing unexpectedly high numbers of “Required-Not Assessed” students should be sure to review the FAQ to be sure they are reporting the correct Assessment Area Code.
Also, ensure you are reviewing your Improving At-Risk K-3 Readers reports in the Secure Data Center (SDC) before the Aug. 7 deadline. OELPA Collection
We have been made aware of a technical issue with a student information system that was causing erroneous data to be submitted to EMIS in the OELPA Collection. The vendor has resolved the issue, but we encourage all districts to re-submit the OELPA Collection to ensure the correct data has been received by EMIS.
To assist with this review, a new Level 1 check and a new Level 1 report were added to the OELPA Assessment (A) Collection, which was made available on Monday, July 22. These will help districts with reporting accurate data and catching erroneous data submissions. These flag situations in which there is an accidental reporting of mixed ALT and STR test types at the student level for FY24 tests.
