EMIS changes that are subject to this process are posted on the Department's website for 30 days for public comment, up to 30 days for the Department's response to comments, and then another 30 days for public review before changes are considered “final.” Changes driven by laws that are passed or updated could happen at any time of year. All other EMIS changes that fall under this process must be posted no later than May 15 for the following school year.
