It has just come to light from the Ohio Department of Education that when Kelly sends the enrollment file to the districts that she is not allowed to send the file with anything pre-populated in the Free Reduced Eligible field (this is a field that the districts must enter the information for).

As a reminder the districts will enter one of the following values:  F - Free
                                                                                                                     R - Reduced
                                                                                                                     N - Not Eligible of Neither

For those districts that have entered a ticket requesting their file with the field populated please note that you will receive your file without that information included as per instructions to us from ODEW.

Districts that have not yet submitted a ticket to helpemis at mveca.org<mailto:helpemis at mveca.org>; please submit letting us know when you would like your file so you have time to enter the information and submit the file before closing on May 1st.

It's Back!

Once again districts will need to submit a file for their students to the Summer EBT program.  The window for submitting the file to the EBT program is April 1 to May 1 at 5:00 pm.

MVECA will generate the enrollment file for you and then you will need to mark if the student is  Free (F), Reduced (R), or Not Eligible (N) - you can not use the Economically Disadvantaged EMIS reporting code for this.

ELIGIBLE STUDENTS:  Make sure you look at slides 5-9;  to see who is eligible for summer EBT.  If an income form was used parents will need to apply online at:  https://sebt.ohio.gov/apply/

Once you have submitted your file and if new students enroll you will need to direct the parents to apply online at the link above.  There will not be another reporting window.

In order to receive your file you will want to enter a helpemis at mveca.org<mailto:helpemis at mveca.org> ticket and let Kelly Mader know when you would like to receive your file.  When you submit your ticket letting Kelly know when you would like your file; also let her know if you would like your file based on the Free/Reduced flag on your FD Attribute tab or if you would like the file field blank.  Keep in mind that if you used the Ohio Household income forms to qualify students for free and or reduced meals you will not be able to use those forms and therefore will need a list of students who used the form to remove them from the free/reduced status.....
