[Mail_emis] Update 3/14/2016

Good evening
The following was discussed on the EMIS call this morning.


*         KRA appeals window closes tomorrow 3/15/2016 at 11:59 p.m.


*         OTLEA and the ELA Spring Assessment windows are open.  The OTELA does not impact the LRC, but there is federal reporting that ODE has to do at the end of the month.  Please try to at least do an initial submission soon.


*         ELA- ODE is most focused on Students with Disabilities and their ECO scores.  It is used for Federal reporting in early April so please submit as soon as you can.


*         Opening 15G reporting shortly along with CTE assessments. These are the two main collections left for FY15.


*         All current FY16 and FY15 collection requests will have updates for the FTE reports and the new snapshot report for the FY15 Final #3 payment. There will also be an update for the staff manifest for a bug fix.


*         New version of the DC should be sent to ITC's later this week.  We will update you once it is installed.


*         Finance Appeals.

o    There will be a few more reports released prior to the appeals window opening.

o   Open on Wednesday March 17th and close Thursday April 6th.  Will be open for 3 weeks.

o   The Final #3 should be out tonight or tomorrow. These will be in the Final FY15 manifest

o   Any student, any situation where you feel there is a funding issue after the FY15 FN #3 comes out.

?  Flags in SOES  that should not be there.

?  CTE student that should be funded and isn't.

?  Calendar issues.

o   When you submit, if you only have a few students, please include them in the appeals submission.  If there are a lot of students or you are having issues getting all the data put together, the final day to submit data will be April 13th but the Appeal MUST be completed and  submitted by April 6th.

o   There will be communication sent out via Newsflash on the appeals process, plus communication sent to treasurers.


*         There will be a refresh of the Career Tech reports in the FY15 Staff final manifest.  You will need to go into the closed manifests to see these.


*         There are data updates being done for the LRC release on March 24.  There will be periodic closings of the SDC to prepare for this.  The SDC will close on Tuesday the 22nd early and will remain closed till after the release on the 24th


*         CCP will open this week.

o    ODE still needs to add the rolls in OEDS.

o   There will be a Newsflash sent when the rolls are added and when CCP opens in ODDEX.

o    EMIS coordinators and Superintendents will be able to see data as soon as it opens.

Additional updates.

FTE reports
            There is an issue that we are seeing in the FTE reports.  It is a display issue with the report and not affecting funding but it makes it difficult to reconcile.
            If a student has had an EMIS ID change, they could be coming into the report multiple times.  Once with the current EMIS ID and once with the old EMIS ID.  Again it is a report issue and
            the district is not getting funding for both entries on the report.

Staff Reporting.
            Please make sure that you submit your staff manifest.  It will close for certification and HQT on April 1st.  You need to submit so that you can get your Invalid Cert and HQT issues
            resolved prior to the closing of the Staff 1st Window.

Federal Child Count.
            ODE is planning on pulling data for the Federal Child Count after submissions on March 25.  If you have not corrected your reports by then, your data will not be included in the files sent     to the Feds.  If you have records that you are having issues getting resolved please let me know as soon as possible.
