[Mail_emis] Update-ODE call 10/24/2016

Good morning,
The following was discussed on this morning's ODE EMIS call.

Grad Reporting
            Grad Reporting ended Friday.  The Grad appeals window is now open along with the Grad Supplemental withdraw and Grad Data Review Signoff. Closes 11/10/2016

            Grad Appeals are in the SAFE Account
Grad Supplemental - Some schools and districts still may adjust their cohort data. Those needing to request allowable graduation cohort adjustments should submit 2016-2017 Supplementary Graduation Rate Data Submission Forms within the Forms application in SAFE<https://safe.ode.state.oh.us/portal/>. If a superintendent has a situation that qualifies for a supplementary EMIS appeal, he or she should submit an appeal using this same form.  Refer to the 10/17 Edconnect.  http://education.ohio.gov/Media/Ed-Connection/Oct-17-2016/EMIS-Supplementary-Graduation-Rate-Data-Submission  These are due November 8th.

Files are being pushed up to ODE's website. Once you have submitted please make sure that you go to ODE and check to make sure that your forecast is correct.  It could be 24-48 hours after submission till you see your forecast at ODE. There has been an instance of the wrong district IRN being on data sent to ODE.(Not here at MVECA)  If you find any issues please let us know.


Funding
Data will be pulled today for the November #1 payment.  Data will be pulled approximately every 2 weeks.  ODE will produce snapshot data to match the data pulls, but they will be 2-3 weeks out.  Since data was pulled this morning and the FTE reports in the Data collector were updated on the 22nd, we are suggesting that you save the current FTE reports under the level 2 reports in the DC for reference for this payment.
ODE expects to use data this week for JVSDs.  Might be this morning's data or they may wait till after Wednesday's submissions.  For the JVSD's we would suggest saving today's FTE reports and the reports that come out Thursday morning.

            Data appeal and review for funding for FY16 has been extended to 10/28/2016
