The following was discussed during the EMIS call yesterday.

Summer Third Grade Reading results
ODE indicated that there was a delay in getting the Summer vendor file loaded into the SDC.  The data has been loaded and I have included the information that was in the Newsflash yesterday afternoon.

Summer Third Grade Reading Vendor File
There had been a delay in loading the summer third grade reading vendor file.  That data has now been loaded to the SDC and should resolve some of the students previously showing with inconsistent retention/assessment data reported. Data Appeal Window Open for Summer Third Grade Reading
>From Monday, Aug. 27, through Friday, Aug. 31, superintendents and EMIS coordinators should check summer third grade reading data on their test vendor files. Like last year, the Department will use the assessment vendor file instead of requiring districts to report the summer third grade reading assessment data via EMIS. The superintendent, EMIS coordinator, and superintendent designee can access and complete the data appeal form. The Department does not consider the form to be officially submitted, however, until the superintendent or designee approves it in SAFE.

Remember that the Retention Data for 3rd grade students play into the inconsistent retention for students in the SDC.  If you have not submitted your retention manifest please do so ASAP.
There will be a SHORT appeals process that will open September 4th

Manifests Closing soon

Financial Manifest
For regular reporting window  will close at the end of this week  August 31st.
As of yesterday there were 100 entities that have not submitted throughout the state.
ODE will be looking at the Gen  missing to see if there is any missing data.  Once we get to Friday that window will close.  That will give districts time to look at the Maintenance of Effort status for Title 1 and Special Education.  Then we will move into the Supplemental Submission that will be open through September.  You will be able to submit your Capital Assests, and any of the Misc Record types during that Manifest.  The appeals for H data will happen sometime early in October.
Data that shows on the initial release of the LRC will be based on  data submitted as of Friday August 31st.  The LRC will be updated again once the appeals process ends.
The Level 2 reports for the expenditure data have not been updating for the last couple weeks. ODE is having processing issues with that report.  However there are reports in the SDC that ODE believes are turned on for you to check your data.  All the data is updating to the LRC and the SDC property, it is just the level 2 reports that are inaccurate.
Retention Manifest
          Retention Manifest will  close Friday August 31st.



FY18
            Two other significant collections that need to be completed.
                        CTE Assessments- ODE is close to having  all the new codes added.
                        Grad Reporting
                                    Goal for the end of the week is to have data updated for the New Grad cohort files for data that shows in ODDEX.
                                    Discussing additional supplemental reports to help with the transition to the new Main report that ODE will put out.  They are hoping to have some out next week, but for sure in 2 weeks.  You will be notified by Newsflash when they come out in the files tab.



FY19
Community Schools are reporting.  They have 4 weeks to clean up FTE for the October Payment to Community Schools. Make sure that you get your addresses reported.  If there is no address in SOES, the student will not be funded.  Please submit after your first day of school to help with getting them reported with the correct date.
As long as the address is in SOES the data is open for reviewing .
The default year in ODDEX has been updated to 2019.
            For Traditional Districts ODE is on schedule to open the Beginning of the year manifest next Tuesday September 4th.  The manifest may be available prior to the 4th and you can collect and prepare and clean up issues but you will not be able to submit until September 4th.
