Good morning,
The following items were discussed this morning on the ODE EMIS call.
Staff L Reporting
ODE has started to release the CTE funding reports. There are over 100 districts that have not submitted L data. Please try to get data submitted. The manifest has been updated to a version 2, so if you have submitted make sure that you are submitting under version 2.
By the end of this week ODE is planning on running the valid cert report(TLC). They plan to it run on Wednesday evening and be visible on Thursday morning. Could possibly be shifted by a day. There will be a version 3 out later this week. If is just for adding the Level 2 status report in
the L collection like we have in the S collection. This will let you know if you have rows on a level 2 report at one point and whether or not you still have current rows with issues. If it shows 0 rows then you should not expect to see a new report.
Calendar.
New version of the Calendar Collection should be out later this week. This will correct the issue with the calendar type IRN that will update the data requirements if you have that issue.
Updated Reports
There will updated reports coming out this week
CCP reports out through Files will be out tomorrow and Wednesday. Updated data will be through October 24 or 25.
CTE appeals
ODE has delayed the close of the CTE appeals of the CTE assessments. The Appeal will close 11/19. The CTE assessment report that came out in files will be updated for all assessments submitted through the close of the CTE Assessment Manifest. The report is
2019A_CTE_CTAC-001_CTE_TECH_ASSMT_20190930.XLS<https://datac.mveca.org:7446/DCFiles/013930/2019A_CTE_CTAC-001_CTE_TECH_ASSMT_20190930.XLS?GUID=62C20CFD5FB347C0ACFF1F5523F333DD> You will be able to check the data to make sure reporting is correct. It is expected out Thursday or Friday.
This report is more complex than other CTE reports as ODE is deriving the cumulative scores for the students.
It contains the count of how many assessments that were used to calculate the scores. If you think there should have been more scores used, for specific students, please put in a helpdesk ticket to HelpEMIS at mveca.org<mailto:HelpEMIS at mveca.org> with the
Student's SSID and what you think the issue is. I will send it up to ODE and they can check on the student.
CCP LEA Deduct report
Informational. Can go back and reconcile if you want. There is a parallel report created for Higher Ed that tells them who they are being paid for. ODE felt it would be beneficial to district if you wanted to reconcile down to the student level. There is a report out on ODE that Treasurers
use to reconcile. Most treasurers use that report. This report will give more detail as to who they are paying for.
SFPR Adjustments
Currently ODE is NOT using any FY20 data to fund districts. There will be adjustments that will be live but ODE has not gone to using it yet. It is displaying Live data in some areas, but it is not being used.
There is a calendar on the School Finance website that will tell what data ODE currently using http://education.ohio.gov/Topics/Finance-and-Funding/School-Payment-Reports/State-Funding-For-Schools/Payment-Report-Data-Calendar
Please let me know if you have any questions.
