[Mail_emis] Update 11/18/2019

Good Morning

I want to update you on the EMIS call this morning and the Change call last Wednesday.

Change Call
            ODE has placed the changes that will be happening this year out on their website.  They are listed by the date that they are planning to implement them.  Here is the link to the page http://education.ohio.gov/Topics/Data/EMIS/EMIS-Documentation/EMIS-Changes

You can click on the links on the webpage to take you to the changes that are planned for each time period.  They are being released every 2 weeks.

If you click on Nov #2 you will see the following that are scheduled for November 21st.  What I have found is there are some that have already been implemented prior to the date indicated.  Please take the time to look at this page to see any upcoming changes

EMIS Call

This is a little more confusing as it pertains to the switch to live data for some funding elements.

The November #2 Payment for Traditional districts which will come out this Friday November 22nd will have a switch to live data for some of the pieces of the payment that are based on current year data.
If you go out to the Archives tab in the Data Collector  you will see a snapshot report of the FTE detail reports.  It took me a little while to find the reports but if click on the Archives tab and set your filters as below you will see the 3 reports that pertain to the payment.
            The FTE Detail Report
            The FTE Adjustment Report
            The FTE Total by Fund Category
Why the as of date is 1/12/19 I have no clue so you cannot search by date.

If you are looking for what data is used when, you can go to the finance section of the ODE Website, there is a payment report Data Calendar   http://education.ohio.gov/Topics/Finance-and-Funding/School-Payment-Reports

Click on the data  calendar link on the webpage and you will see what data is being used for the most recent payment.  This is just a partial list

Add in is prior year data and deduction is current year data for OE and Other adjustments.

For the December payment the pull will most likely be the day before Thanksgiving.  If not it will be December 2nd. When that data is pulled there will be a snapshot for Traditional schools along with the CTE payments for their December payment.

For Community schools their data will be pulled on Monday November 25 so their student data along with Career Tech data need to be as up to date as possible with their submissions at the end of this week.
PS Data will be live data with the December #1 Payment.

New Report

New Release in the Data Collector this week.  A new FLICS report that will replace the online system. The Data will be based on the data as of the close of the Beginning  of the year Traditional manifest and the Beginning of the year SOES collections that close on December 20th.
The report should be out on Thursday this week.

Will be available for both Community Schools and Traditional districts.

KRA
The Score not reported of Q is no longer valid for KRA students that were retained last year and are showing as missing on your KRA manifest.  There is a change coming Thursday that should remove those students form the Missing lists.  If they do not come off you can ignore the missing AS LONG as you have verified that a score was reported in the previous year.
