Each year, the OASBO Foundation for School Business Management selects recipients for Outstanding SBO of the Year, presented to one


*         Business Operations Manager

*         Food & Nutrition Director

*         Transportation Director and

*         Treasurer/CFO

Nominations are due on Friday, Sept. 30, so don't hesitate - nominate your district's Outstanding SBO today. What exemplary achievements have your SBOs spearheaded in the last year?


*         Have they saved the district significant money by implementing a new initiative?

*         Maybe they have led a herculean effort to rebuild a school, stadium or other district facility?

*         Perhaps they've gone above and beyond to ensure only the the best-trained staff are working in your district?

These are only a few accomplishments of last year's OASBO Foundation Awards winners.

Aside from providing a fantastic PR opportunity for your district, award recipients each receive a plaque and $500 scholarship to be given to a graduating senior in their district.

We want to hear from you! Nomination forms are available on the OASBO Website for the OASBO Foundation for School Business Management Outstanding Treasurer, Business Operations Manager, Food Service Director, and Transportation Director Awards. Nominations are due by Sept. 30, 2016. Anyone may make a nomination - school board members, superintendents, community members, or  colleagues. SBOs may also self-nominate.

The OASBO Foundation Board members (who are not eligible for the award) will choose the award winners, and recognition will take place at the third general session of the Ohio School Boards Association's (OSBA) Capital Conference.
