[Mail_supt] 1 Day CTE EMIS virtual training - hold the date 3/12/21

Good morning everyone,
Hope this email finds everyone doing well, and are safe and warm today.

I am sending out this email to give you all a heads up, that we are again
planning to offer a 1 Day CTE EMIS workshop/training of sorts.  This year
it will be a virtual day, using zoom and there will be an email forthcoming
with more details such as time, registration details, etc.

SO PLEASE WATCH FOR FUTURE EMAILS WITH REGISTRATION DETAILS.

The day we have set aside for this virtual conference is Friday, March
12th.  Beginning time to be determined, but plan for a full day of sessions.

Possible topics:

I.               New CTE EMIS coordinator – maneuvering the CTE website and
resources available.

II.              CTE 26 – the process begins

III.            Work Based Learning – Collecting and reporting hours

IV.            Concentrator status – Under Perkins V guidelines

a.     Guidelines/definition under Perkins V

b.    Who gets marked and when

c.     What if they are not marked?

d.    CTAC reports

V.              Technical Skills, QPR and Report card measures

VI.            March Reporting

a.     Include how Assessments reported during D will be used

c.     Include Work Based Learning data element as it relates to March
reporting
Target audience for the workshop will be CTE and District EMIS coordinators
who report CTE data to EMIS, but often treasurers and superintendents get a
lot of helpful information as well.  So the workshop is open to any
district personnel that register.  Since we don't have to worry about
social distancing, parking and those types of logistics this time, we can
accommodate a larger group than in the past.

Each session will last between approximately 45-60 minutes with an hour
break for lunch.  We will know more once we have all sessions finalized the
exact schedule for the day.  Once finalized we will send out another email
with the tentative agenda, times for each session, presentors, and
registration details.  Those that register will then receive login
information and instructions on how to "attend".

Just remember that YOU MUST REGISTER FOR THIS ONE DAY CTE EMIS WORKSHOP IF
YOU INTEND TO PARTICIPATE AND RECEIVE ANY CEUs.  And registration details
will be forthcoming soon.
