CARDINAL LOCAL SCHOOL DISTRICT
SUPERINTENDENT POSITION AVAILABLE

The Cardinal Local School District in Middlefield Ohio is seeking applicants for the position of Superintendent.  The successful candidate will possess the following experiences and skills:
REQUIRED EXPERIENCES AND SKILLS

•         Current State of Ohio Superintendent license

•         Successful experience as a public school administrator

•         Visionary educational leadership abilities

•         Ability to pursue enhancement of educational programs

•         Ability to be a contributing member and leader of the administrative team and administrative departments

•         Ability to be engaged with the community and represent the district on the management and educational programs

•         Ability to develop and nurture effective working relationships with school district employees

•         Ability to be a consensus builder

•         Demonstrated excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills

•         High level of professional integrity

•         Successful experience with strategic planning and curriculum development

•         Knowledge of school finance and fiscal management

•         Successful experience with providing high quality special educational programs


PREFERRED EXPERIENCES AND SKILLS

•         Successful experience as an Ohio public school superintendent

•         Successful experience in collective bargaining

•         Successful experience with local, State, and Federal grants management including CCIP and ESSER



•         Knowledge of all aspects of business operations including transportation and facilities

•         Possess ability to develop strong and effective Board member relations


Compensation and employment terms:
The Board of Education will offer a base salary up to $125,000 based upon experience and qualifications.  Competitive compensation and benefits will be offered in addition to the base salary.


Tentative Timeline:

•         The Board of Education will be accepting applications through April 30, 2022.

•         First round interviews will be held on May 16 – May 21.

•         Final interviews will be held June 6 – June 11.

•         Offer and employment action June 11 – June 18

•         Start of employment no later than August 1, 2022.
The Board of Education may accelerate the timeline as schedules permit.
