[Mail_treas] Need your help in looking for assets appraisal companies

Hello treasurers and CFO,

I retired in 2007 as a school treasurer, and am now doing government accounting for the Clinton County Port Authority here in Wilmington.  Our capital assets need a lot of work, and we are wanting to contact some appraisal companies for bids.

I know this is something that school districts have done and continue to do-update your capital assets.  If you have used an outside appraisal company to update your assets, please provide the name of the company that you would recommend.  I use the state software EIS and would like for the appraisal results to be in a format that can be loaded into the EIS system by our computer site - MVECA.  Let me know if you had the same thing done and what was your experience with it.

Also, for budget purposes, I would appreciate the amount you paid for the appraisal.   And anything else that you would like to share.
