ABOUT THE COMMUNITY AND SCHOOLS:

The Wauseon Exempted Village School District, in Wauseon, Ohio, is seeking a strong leader to serve as the next district Treasurer/CFO.  The Wauseon Exempted Village School District has a high performing staff and strong student body excelling in both the classroom and extracurricular activities.

The Wauseon Exempted Village School District is located in the City of Wauseon, approximately 35 miles west of Toledo, in Fulton County.  The community is conveniently located in close proximity to the amenities of a city, with a small town feel. The village has numerous large factories and industry continues to grow.

The Wauseon Exempted Village School District consists of four school buildings: Wauseon Primary School, Wauseon Elementary School, Wauseon Middle School, and Wauseon High School.  The District serves approximately 1800 students with a staff that includes 120 teachers, 69 classified staff members, and 14 administrators.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:

The successful candidate must possess dynamic leadership skills; impeccable communication skills (both written and oral) with staff, community members and the Board of Education; excellent organizational skills; great interpersonal skills; the ability to work collaboratively; the ability to apply critical thinking skills; and the ability to multi-task.

The successful candidate will serve on the district administrative team and district leadership team as the fiscal representative.

Treasurer experience is preferred and/or a background experience in a treasurer's office, but not required.

The candidate must possess a valid treasurer's license or show proof one could be obtained.

The successful candidate will be expected to exhibit character and professionalism that reflects positively on the district.

The successful candidate must have the ability to provide an acceptable BCI/FBI background check.
