One more thing (for now)!

There is another new validation for the forecast.  Karen reported this on 3/28 from the 3/26 ODE/ITC EMIS call: "A lot of districts are also ignoring warnings when totals don't add up. Totals are not always precise (e.g., calculated with pennies, rounded to nearest dollar), so small variations may be ok, but ODE is adding checks so too large of a variation (possibly indicating a larger issue) will now fatal the forecast."

Here are the lines that are typically missing from the forecast.

The Data Collector has a new validation for the Five Year Forecast.  All lines must be present or the entire file is invalid.  Attached is the template created by the SSDT.  You do not have to use this template; but, please compare your lines to this template.  You should see 67 valid lines for the QF record after you collect the data.

Please send your forecast spreadsheets to helpfiscal at mveca.org<mailto:helpfiscal at mveca.org>.  We will convert it to the needed format and transfer it to the data collector.   You will submit your forecast pdf notes in the data collector.

Hello!

The manifest for the required spring update of the five year forecast is published in the Data Collector.  There is no change to our process here at MVECA.


1.      Send your completed forecast spreadsheets to helpfiscal at mveca.org<mailto:helpfiscal at mveca.org>.

2.      We will convert them into the format required and import it into the Data Collector (DC).

3.      You or your designee, with DC access, will login to the DC and follow the steps in the attached document to submit your forecast (QF) and the assumptions (QN).

REMINDER! - PDF ASSUMPTIONS ARE SUBMITTED THROUGH THE DC.  DO NOT EMAIL THEM TO ODE.

If you prefer to do the conversion, you will need a login to the Flat File Editor.  Send a request to helpfiscal at mveca.org<mailto:helpfiscal at mveca.org>.

The manifest expires on May 31, 2018.
