Ours is totally funded through the school district—general fund and we are
using the small amount of Title IV funding we receive as well. We are
contracting services through our county Sheriff’s department and she is an
active duty deputy.

*Subject:* School Resource Officers
Hello,
For those of you that have a school resource officer(s) in your schools,
could you please answer a couple quick questions?
1. How is the school resource officer funded? For example is it totally
paid for by the school, does the city or county cover all or a portion of
the cost, etc.
2. Is your school resource officer an active duty police officer or
sheriff's deputy? If not, what is their background or qualifications?
Thanks
Todd Johnson
