[Mail_treas] RESULTS: Alumni Association use of Bulk Mailing Permits

Good Afternoon Everyone,

The overwhelming majority would NOT recommend allowing the alumni association to use the permit for the following reasons:

*         The post office would have issues if they caught wind

*         As schools we receive a discounted bulk rate

*         Sets a precedent for other non-school organizations should they want to use it

Good Afternoon,

Our Alumni association wants to use our bulk mailing permit to send a one-time mailing (approx. 500 pieces) to graduating seniors.  Does any other district do this?  Are there any compliance risks we should know about considering this is the Alumni association and not actually part of our district operation?
