Hi All!

I tried to send this out the other day and I don't think I had this email
address correct.

Has anyone been following the changes proposed by ODE's staff regarding the
review going on for Ohio's operating standards as they relate to
preschool?  Below is a link to all of the rules being reviewed:

I just learned about this two days ago and apparently the time for feedback
closed yesterday.  One of the changes appears that we will need to provide
300+ hours of "regular education" to students who qualify for an IEP, but
attend a private preschool.  Currently, we might only provide itinerant
services, but I'm wondering if this would mean the private preschool would
now be able to charge us for the regular education piece.  Also, it appears
that it changes the ratio of special ed students from 8 per class to 6 per
class beginning in 2020.  These are just a couple of things that my
preschool director brought to my attention.

Has anyone looked at this?  I had not seen anything about it, so I don't
know if treasurers were notified.  My superintendent said he wasn't
notified either.
