[Mail_treas] State Software Redesign Migration Plan

Good Morning,



Please find attached the Redesign Migration Questionnaire.  We are developing a plan to meet the 12/31/22 deadline for migration from the current Open VMS platform.   Please complete this form and return it to me on or before Friday, May 17, 2019.  This form is an opportunity for you to request a six month wave period that works best for you.  It doesn't take six months to migrate.  Here's a brief description of the phases of each wave.  Timing within each wave will be different for each district.



Wave Phase 1- Export/Import:  District receives login,  MVECA reviews import log files for errors,  district fixes problems in Classic, training begins



Wave Phase 2- Post Import Procedures, https://wiki.ssdt-ohio.org/display/usasrdoc/Post+Import+Procedures. Third party connections are tested.



Wave Phase 3- Once data is cleaned up in classic, a new export/import is completed and parallel processing begins.



Wave Phase 4- Once phase 3 is successful - Final export/import - GO LIVE.



We will not be able to honor all requests.  Everyone cannot be last and we need to keep the waves to a manageable size (based on your 2018 W2 count).  We will negotiate with districts once we receive all of the questionnaires.



Please return the questionnaire by end of the day on Friday.
