Hello Districts that submit W2 information to CCA,
We received the following instructions from the SSDT:
"It has just come to our attention that the CCA submission file needs further modification for 2020 submissions. This was discovered after submitting a test file to CCA. This only affects CCA submission files for W2 processing. This DOES NOT affect printed W2s or any SSA, state or city submission files. We are currently working on the necessary changes for both Classic and Redesign and will release them ASAP.
FOR CLASSIC:
We are recommending that all ITC's have their districts that submit to CCA hold off on their final W2PROC run until we can release the changes in OECN_OOPS. We are planning to have them available early next week. If delaying the final W2PROC run is not possible, a backup should be made prior to clearing YTD accumulators (as recommended in our prior communication for this year) and the CCA submission file will need to be recreated from this backup once the updates are in place.
Similarly, if districts have already run W2PROC, created CCA submission files and cleared YTD amounts, the CCA submission file will need to be recreated using backed up data after our updates have been applied. Once again no other submission files are impacted.
If districts have already run W2PROC, created CCA submission files, and DO NOT have backups from immediately prior to clearing YTD accumulators, please write helpfiscal at mveca.org.
FOR REDESIGN:
We are asking all ITC's to have their districts hold off on creating CCA submissions until we can get these changes out in a hotfix release. We are planning to have them available early next week.
In redesign generating a corrected submission file is easier as the process does not depend on YTD accumulators. As a result, if districts have already created CCA submission files in redesign, they can simply regenerate this file after the hotfix release has been applied."
Be sure to execute the USPSBACKUP, step 36, successfully.
Thank you!
