Good Afternoon Everyone,
Welcome to October.
I’m sure that everyone has received this notice from Social Security by now.  I just received the reminder again on Friday.
Please make sure to update your credentials with SSA/BSO, if you haven’t already done so.
If you are not sure if you have changed your credentials, try logging in to SSA/BSO, and access W2’s from last year.
Then log out and try to log back in again.
If you are able to log back in then you have the additional security that is required by Social Security Admin.
If not, please follow Social Security’s instruction in the document below.  You will not be able to submit W2’s to Social Security if you cannot log in.

Do you submit W2's to SSA?

As of March 25, 2023, we updated how Business Services Online (BSO) users must sign up for and access a BSO account. BSO users must have additional levels of security added to their account to submit W2’s and for the following employer services:

  *   Wage file upload
  *   W-2/W-C online
  *   AccuWage online
  *   Social Security Number Verification Service (SSNVS)
  *   View wage report name/SSN errors
You will not be able to use the above services without adding the additional levels of security to your account.
What does this mean for you?

Once the credentialing and authentication process has been completed, current BSO User ID(s) will be associated with your credential.

Can I sign in with my personal my Social Security account username and password?
If you have created a my Social Security account prior to September 18, 2021, you can use the username and password to sign in once redirected from the employer webpage. The username and password will be associated with your BSO User ID.
