Our administrative guidelines call for a $25,000 threshold for Board approval.  As a matter of practice, we have the Board approve a "standard agreements" listing at the organizational meeting each year, listing out those vendors with whom we are currently working with and expect to work with into the next fiscal year.  Additionally, anything that comes across with terms and conditions, such as licensing agreements, etc., that are below $25K and NOT on our standard agreements listing, will be taken to the Board during the year.

In my opinion , unless a controversial item per Supt or Admin, I would not take it all to the board, you would have toooo much to approve at board meetings that would not be required , per your policy.

Good afternoon! Do you take all agreements and contracts for materials, services and supplies to the Board of Education for approval no matter the dollar amount of the agreement or contracts?
