[Mveca_usas] MVECA USAS and USPS Updates

Hello!!


1.       USAS - Financial 18H reporting-  I sent email this week to districts that have not submitted data.  Please submit data as soon as possible.  ODE is using the data for MOE.  The General Issues report is now coming in as level 2 reports in the Data Collector (DC).   This report tells you if you are meeting the 18H reporting period submission goals.  Login to the DC, go to the 18H manifest and click on the Level 2 reports.

Then click Show Reports

The Gen Issues Financial reports will be at the bottom.  You need to open each report and confirm that the percentage is 100%.

Attached are the validations that create the percentage.  Write helpfiscal at mveca.org<mailto:helpfiscal at mveca.org> if you need help resolving percentages less than 100.


2.       USPS - Please run CHKSTRS after your final payroll that includes advance contributions.  This report will display the amount per employee reported for fy18 as accrued contributions to STRS.  The report output name is CHKSTR.TXT.  It's very beneficial to reconcile the reported advance amount on the annual report to STRS.   Also, use this report to identify the cause of any remainder in USPSDAT/USPCON.  Compare CHKSTR.TXT to the STRSAD.RPT.  Write helpfiscal if you need help resolving any remainders.

3.       Regretfully, Melissa's last day at MVECA is Friday.   She will be missed by many!!  We know that she will be successful in her new job!!  THANKS for all your help, Melissa!!

As we make this transition, please be sure to write helpfiscal at mveca.org<mailto:helpfiscal at mveca.org> to open a helpdesk ticket.   Let me know if you get an email saying that you cannot create a ticket.  We will add you as a user in our helpdesk software.  NOTE- when writing helpfiscal at mveca.org<mailto:helpfiscal at mveca.org>, do not 'CC' anyone.  The ticket does not get created if there is another email address.
