Hello,

I received the following information today:

Good Morning:
It has come to our attention that rehired retirees are not being reported correctly on the STRSHIRE submission file. In our initial discussions with STRS it was not made clear that rehired retirees were to be reported separately. However, since then we have confirmed that rehired retirees do indeed need to be reported using a completely separate format that requires additional information, some of which is not currently available in USPS.
 As a result we are sending this message to notify you that rehired retirees will need to be reported manually via the STRS website. Standard new hires can continue to be reported successfully using the STRSHIRE program. We will continue evaluating if we can automate the rehired retiree reporting through a future enhancement to the USPS software.
