[Mveca_usps] EMIS Staff reporting in fy15

Good, Friday Afternoon!

In the EMIS Change call Wednesday,  ODE briefly described the changes to staff EMIS reporting periods for this school year.  There is no longer a "K- October" or "N-Yearend" reporting period.  Staff will be reported in the "L" reporting period.  This is an annual reporting of your data with a break at the semester.

2 staff reporting periods : K and N

One reporting period with a break at the semester

Staff reported as of October Count Week

Report all staff changes as they occur throughout the period

Supplementals only reported at yearend

Best available information about Supplementals reported as they are hired

If staff are reported as separated in October; flag N to EMIS for yearend

Staff will need to be reported the entire year


This is the information we have at this time.  We will send updates as they are available. We will, also, conduct our annual fall training for staff EMIS elements.  I think, payroll has been hoping for this change!!  You no longer have to decide if you need to use the EMIS contract info fields for a mid-year contract change or when to mark the records Y or N to EMIS.  You will just report changes as they occur. ...no more October count week snap shot!
