Subject: Kiosk Update and Management Council (MC) – Maintenance Notice for Thursday April 5th, 2018

Kiosk Users,
We received reports earlier today of intermittent “500 Error” issues with the Kiosk application.   While the application has remained available and users could continue by refreshing their browser, the potential for these errors to impact users still exists.
The problem appears to be related to the number of connections between the web application and the database server and this can be solved by increasing the number of connections.
This change will result in a slight downtime while the application services restart and as such we are scheduling this for 5:00 this evening as outlined in the Maintenance Notice below.
The developer is not 100% sure this is the only issue, but the symptoms seem to be consistent with that analysis and so this is the first step to preventing these issues.   After this change, please continue to report any 500 Errors through the service desk.
