[Tech-l] Updates and Resources

Good afternoon!
A few notes on our work with schools as they prepare for long closures:

1.       Today we noted that the MCOECN (or Management Council) sent mass email out to all districts regarding the use of Zoom.  Please know that you do not need to spend money to create web conferencing capability and record sessions if you use the free offers from Cisco WebEx.  We will help you procure either WebEx or Zoom, but purchasing licensing at this time may not be necessary.

2.       The MCOECN is also pairing Zoom training with INFOhio training.  We do not believe this makes sense since Zoom is not in use everywhere.  We've created multiple training opportunities for INFOhio and Virtual Classroom that are specific to the products you are using.  If you'd like separate WebEx or Zoom information or training, just let us know.  Training dates are on our training calendar and listed on our Resource Page.

3.       Please keep an eye on our training calendar and resource pages: https://www.mveca.org/protected/MasterCalendar.aspx?dasi=&e=&g=&vs=13&d=& and https://www.mveca.org/RemoteLearningResources.aspx .  These are being updated regularly.

4.       Please don't hesitate to ask us for help.  We're here to assist in any way that we can. MVECA employees are continuing to work from a variety of locations and should be available as normal with a few exceptions.  If you're not getting the support you need, please call or write me directly and we'll fix it.
