Good morning
Last Wednesday there was a DASL EMIS webinar with DASL State
I have attached the power point and wanted to update you on a few thing.
1. Check Page 3 for updates on Assessment imports
2. I have attached my copy of the Power Point with my notes. Hopefully you will be able to read them :) PLEASE read it carefully! I have also included the Q&A from the webinar.
3. 21.3.0 Update- Coming sometime in April
a. Page 5 Student Exemption Requirement- EMIS Graduation Elements
i. The Elements from the FN graduate tab will be moved from there to Grad Points
1. Student Exemptions/Requirement
a. EMIS Graduation Requirements.
You will still be able to see them on the FN tab but they will be greyed out and must be entered in Grad Points. We will still be able to use the bulk process to update them when it comes to getting ready for Grad. The Proficient Languages will also move to Grad Points. This only allows the Seal to print correctly on the transcript. You will still need to add the language seals membership codes to each student.
Hub Reports will still work to pull data.
4. GQ records for Earned and Plans to Earn.
a. This is going to be the tricky one.
i. You will want to update as much as possible your plans to earn and earned for as many students as you can prior to the installation of 21.3. When 21.3 is installed a script will be run to move all of the Earned and Plans to Earn Memberships to Grad points. From that point on, you will have to manually update those student in Grad Points instead of memberships. They are working on a bulk process but it is not ready yet. I know it seems like an odd way of reporting them and some of you do not use grad points, but think of it as a holding place for these. You do not have to actively be using grad points to put the data in there. Plus there is a real advantage to this. Please Carefully read page 8 on this. There will be no more entering them in every year. They will transfer automatically once they have been entered till the student graduates.
ii. Remember you will not have earned form Honors Diploma, Industry Credential or College Ready- ODE will derive that data from your reporting.
iii. If the Seal of Biliteracy is earned, Earned is determined by the languages selected in languages Proficient Field.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
