Good morning
I put a ticket up to DASL state about updating the course completion date on the manual course history for student.
Kylea put a ticket is so I put it up as she had in the ticket
Here is the question and the reply

QUESTION

Regarding the New Count of Graduation Credits at Entry.... this( pages from the DASL EMIS Webinar) document indicates that a date completed should be entered for any manually entered course. This is a little tricky in retrospect for students who have been enrolled with us. We can pull a list of newly enrolled students and add the date for their manually entered courses. However, those who were already enrolled and completed courses over the summer, etc. may be a little more difficult to identify. That being said, slide 14 indicates that if no date completed, the system will look at the school year... so it appears that these courses would be counted even without a date completed, correct?

Karen,
Any manual course history in 22/23 for students who were enrolled last year will be included when districts run the Non-Graduate Core Summary in 22/23. This will include any summer courses that have been added since school ended.

For new students enrolled in 23/24 who were not here in the prior years, the manual course history that has been entered for their prior years should be included when running the Update process in Period S for Count of Graduation Credits at Entry.

For the new students enrolled in 23/24, but possibly came in later in the school year, maybe in January, it is possible that they completed courses at their prior district in first semester that will be added for manual course history. These are the courses they will want to go back and update the Date Completed value for so that the Update process knows whether it should be counted for the calculation of Credits at Entry this year or not due to being prior to the new student's admission date.

Hopefully this helps, please let me know if you have further questions!
Thanks,
Devin
