[Mail_treas] 2016 Q4 ODJFS Submission and new report listing employees in payroll in both retirement systems

Hello!


1.       Regrettably, I did not submit the ODJFS 2016 Q4 file before the 1/31 deadline.  It was submitted on 2/1 around noon.  You will, likely, receive a notification assessing penalties.  I have already requested waivers for all entities and they are all approved.  Your balance due will be 0.  You will be notified regarding the waiver, as well.   I apologize for any inconvenience.  Be assured that we have instituted additional controls to prevent this from happening!


2.       We added a new report to the menu, BOTHRETSYS, that will list all employees in a specific payroll that had both a SERS deduction and a STRS deduction.  The report asks for the PERIOD end date.   Please run this report after CHKUPD until the retirement reporting is fixed.  If you have employees listed on the report:



1)      Run RETIRE/STRSREG, correct any errors and then create a tape file.

2)      Write helpfiscal at mveca.org<mailto:helpfiscal at mveca.org> with the check or direct deposit number, the employee name and the job number of the SERS job.  We will reply in the ticket when the employee record is updated and ready to report.

3)      Run RETIRE/SERSREG, correct any errors and then create a tape file.
