[Mail_treas] Step Placement on Salary Schedule

Hi All!

I have, what I hope are, easy questions for you.  When you are hiring a
teacher in your district, can you tell me where you would place them on
your pay schedule relative to their experience in looking at the following
examples?


Teacher 1, has completed his/her 10th year of teaching at the end of the
2016-2017 school year and will be starting with your district at the
beginning of the 2017-2018 school year.

Would you place this teacher on step 10 or step 11 beginning with the
2017-2018 school year when they are hired?


Teacher 2, has completed his/her 5th year of teaching at the end of the
2016-2017 school year and will be starting with your district at the
beginning of the 2017-2018 school year.

Would you place this teacher on step 5 or step 6 beginning with the
2017-2018 school year when they are hired?

Does your pay scale have step 0?
