Good morning!

On March 26th, you may have received a message from Joel Hill from
PowerSchool that included information about an OASBO session on April 23rd
regarding eFinancePLUS.

*This presentation will be by school district treasurers and fiscal staff
discussing their experiences with eFinancePlus! * *Your peers will be
making the presentation and answering your questions.*

You will hear and see directly from your colleagues using eFP:

· what they like about eFinancePLUS

· their experiences with the conversion process and the software

· how it has improved the operation of the treasurer’s office and the
district as a whole

You DO have a choice...You have a choice to make about which financial
software your district will use, and now is the time to make that
choice! *Take
time* *to learn about the options and make an informed decision.*

Three years ago the MCOECN selected eFinancePlus (eFP) as full service
software option to be implemented and supported by ITCs. As of today, over
75 districts in Ohio (including traditional K-12 districts, ESCs, career
centers and ITCs) are using eFP, or are in the process of converting to
eFP.

eFP districts are seeing the value in a full service software package.
Without purchasing software or products from third-party vendors, districts
have the ability to:

· print checks to a laser printer

· use an automated workflow approval process

· utilize on-line storage of documents

After the initial conversion, many districts are finding the savings on
these products covers or is very close to covering the annual cost of the
user fees for eFinancePLUS.

The basic functionalities described above are only the beginning of what a
full service software package can do. These sessions will emphasize the
benefits of the software so you may make an informed decision about which
direction your district will go: a basic accounting and payroll package.
or a robust software that encompasses accounting, human
resources, Ohio-specific reporting (including EMIS), fixed assets,
budgeting, Cognos reporting writing capabilities and so much more.

Every district that has been through the eFP conversion process will say
cleaning out old files, setting up a new software, and updating business
processes to the 21st century is well worth the effort. While this does
require additional time and effort, school districts are seeing vastly
improved business operations in the treasurer’s office and districtwide.
The easiest and least expensive path is not always the best path as most of
us know from past experiences.

Conversion and ongoing support from the ITCs is phenomenal. Converting to
eFP has evolved into an efficient streamlined process, and the support
after the conversion is what we expect from our ITC – exceptional!

The schedule for the presentation is below. Although there is no charge
for the presentation and you don't have to be registered for the Annual
Workshop, we do ask that you click here http://bit.ly/2IK9tev to register
so we may plan for the day. We are hoping you are able to attend all
sessions, but the sessions are designed to be independent of each other if
you are not able to attend all four. We are starting mid-morning to allow
for drive time to Columbus Tuesday morning, and end early enough so you may
to attend the OASBO CPIM sessions.

*You have a choice in software. MAKE AN INFORMED DECISION. *
