Hello,
The March release and patch for the SERSHIRE option were installed. You can now use these programs to create a file to upload your new hires. SERS requires a job classification. The SERSHIRE program will use the POSITION_CODE to determine the classification. Therefore, all SERS members need a POSITION_CODE on the job record even if they are not reportable to EMIS. Here are how the job classifications are determined:
POSITION_CODE
SERS Job Classification
100-199, 901
01-Offical Administrative
200-299 (except 201 and 209), 505
04-Educational Aide
307, 904
05-Food Service
500-599 (except 505)
02-Clerical/Secretarial
600-699, 902, 908
03-Custodial/Maintenance
700-799
06-Transportation
All other positions, 201, 209
09-Other
There is another patch coming for position code 415 to go to the 04-Educational Aide job classification. All other 400s will be 09-Other.
The USPS release, also, added an option to allow printing negative accruals on the pay slip. We will need to configure your setup to allow this option. If you want negative accruals printed on pay slips, please contact me.
Let me know if you have any questions.
