Ladies and Gentlemen,

Many of you are aware that ODE has a report called the "FTE Detail Report". The data in this report can be used to reconcile your SFPR. Attached you will find a spreadsheet that will help you accomplish this reconciliation. It will work on any size district in the state. At this time the report comes very close to matching your SFPR. There is some data that is still not included in the FTE Detail Report such as Ed Choice, Peterson, and Autism scholarship data. There is also timing issues with when you run either report. In the near future an FTE detail report will be issued with the SFPR and they should match.

Attached you will find a reconciliation spreadsheet template to help you match the information in both reports. Also attached are two example districts, Canfield and Alliance. Lastly, I have attached the FTE detail report explanation and directions how to reconcile the FTE report to the SFPR.

I recommend opening the two example districts and looking at how they are set up first. The "SFPR" tab was set up for a Treasurer to be able to easily see where any variances may be and then share that information with the EMIS staff to resolve those differences. Look at column Y for the variances. This is a great opportunity for Treasurers to educate EMIS staff on how the FTE data affects funding. I would think in districts that have EMIS staff with excel knowledge that the EMIS staff would take over the responsibility of reconciling once they understand the SFPR. I also know this needs to be a team effort in order for it to work. Please share this e-mail with your EMIS staff.

If you have a solid basic understanding of excel you should be able to go through the directions and reconcile your SFPR. The more familiar you become with the data the more uses you will find for it. Hopefully you find the spreadsheet useful and the directions user friendly. Good luck!
