Good afternoon!
As many of you have heard, the MCOECN and MVECA will be offering support for a full-featured finance package as part of a state-wide initiative to implement Sungard's eFinance Plus solutions.  At this time, MVECA will offer support for the Sungard package at our normal fiscal support rate of $3.00 per student, plus the Sungard one-time implementation and ongoing licensing costs.  In order to get right down to the nitty-gritty, I've pasted below the summary information for all costs associated with the solution.  Also, at the bottom of this message is a listing of weekly, 90 minute webinars that will provide an overview of the solution.  Attached you will find a great deal of information about the solution to include an overview of the process that resulted in the selection of Sungard.
By April 25th, we hope to have a clear picture of how many districts are interested in converting to eFinance Plus and how many would like to consider a Wave 1 implementation that would begin on or around July 1st.  If you know that you are ready to participate, please fill out the Wave Order Form spreadsheet and return it to me so we can begin planning.  The spreadsheet can also be used to calculate your potential costs for Sungard.  Please remember that the spreadsheet only calculates Sungard costs, and does not include the local MVECA cost of $3.00 per student.
We are now in the process of organizing informational meetings to provide you with the sort of detail you'll need to make a final decision, but for the time being, understanding your initial interest for Wave 1 is our priority.  Therefore, we ask that all districts that are eager to potentially begin a conversion on July 1st (through January 1st) fill out the spreadsheet.
I know that there will be many questions about the Sungard offering.  More information will be available soon and we would urge districts to register for one of the weekly webinars.
