Good morning!
I have attached the DASL EMIS document from the ITC DASL EMIS webinar on Wednesday
There is a lot of great information in there about the things that are going to be in the 23.3 update that will be installed tonight starting at 8:00 p.m.
Pay close attention to pages 9 and 30-33.
Page 9 talks about the new element that we will be reporting this year. DEW just talked about it recently. If you go out to ODE and pull up 2024 changes you can look at change 24-73. I have attached documentation for that to this email too. We will not be able to report this data till June at the earliest. The change has to go through the process that is in law now and that will not be complete until June 5th. It will be a tight turnaround to get it reported. You should starting collection the data now so you have it when the time comes.
Pages 30-33 address the Count of Graduation Credits at entry and what needs to be done when new students enroll this year.
Once this install is complete, you will be able to load your Reading and Dyslexia templates to report in those manifests. I have attached documentation from the EMIS manual on those elements.
I am including the Release Notes for the 23.3 install also.
If you are a district that will be sending students to the OTC-Ohio Technical Center- the updates to the FS record, EMIS Situations and delivery method for courses will be available after this install.
AT THIS TIME DO NOT UPDATE ANY COURSES OR STUDENTS TO REFLECT ENROLLMENT AT THE OTC.
The Data Collector is not ready to have them reported. The FS records will fatal and all other data will be dependent on that. You will have mess. I will send an email when DEW is ready for you to submit that data.
I wanted to give you a heads up on upcoming trainings that will have to be scheduled before Year End.
There will be 4 more EMIS Alliance Trainings-Not scheduled yet
1. Where Kids Count
2. Missing Assessments
3. SSID
4. Troubleshooting Report Card data - for EC and district Staff. New for this year
As soon as we get them scheduled we will get the dates out to you.
With the Troubleshooting Report card data we will have one as soon as possible after the ITC's are trained which will not be till May 13, and then another later. As long as we get 1 in by June 30 we meet the requirements for the grant.
We will need to schedule DASL End of year tasks for
1. Student
2. Grad.
It is going to be very busy in the next couple months.
Please let me know if you have any questions
